Spring Creek Woodcrafters is a small business that turns functional and artistic wooden bowls and hollow forms, re-purposes used wine barrels into functional as well as decorator items, produces end grain cutting boards, turns wood and acrylic pens, and creates tables and benches from live edge slabs. We sell our products at local art and craft shows, our website, and Etsy. We also do a wide variety of special projects at customer requests. Our work resides in many residences and private collections throughout the US.
I have been working with wood in one form or another for as long as I can remember, sometimes out of necessity, sometimes as a vocation, and always as a hobby. No matter the reason, making useful and unique items from wood has always brought me great pleasure.
Perfecting my craft while making cutting boards, tables, wine racks, and pens has been an incredible journey in itself. Great pleasure can be derived from solving the many challenges when taking a project from concept to final product.
Woodturning has especially added a new level of satisfaction to my craft. Hard-earned woodturning skills develop slowly and require the additional skills of patience and fortitude. As I work on all these skills, I am rewarded with the freedom of artistic expression that goes hand in hand when coaxing the bowl from the log.
Nature surrounds us with an abundance of amazing and interesting natural resources in trees. Our goal is to preserve and highlight the natural beauty of wood for people to use and enjoy.
